Clarification on Camera Rules for Red Rocks
Hello all we know that there has been some confusion with regard to what cameras you can bring to Red Rocks, hopefully the below will clarify.
PERMITTED FOR FILMING IN VENUE:
Cell Phones, Small Personal Cameras and small Camcorders.
NOT PERMITTED FOR FILMING IN VENUE:
NO professional hand held video cameras
NO DSLR/SLR film or stills cameras with detachable lenses
NO Audio recording equipment
For your safety and the safety of others, guests and their possessions are subject to inspection as condition of admittance to the venue. Red Rocks management reserves final decision on items brought into the venue if they are deemed as dangerous.
We really want people to get involved with the filming of their journey to the show, but we do not want people to spend the entire time filming the show, we want you to watch and enjoy it. Fred and Nick are there to capture the show itself, we want you to capture a little of your experience.
If you do choose to shoot your journey on a professional camera, or one with a detachable lens we can not guarantee entry to the venue, and your equipment may have to be left in your car, but it will be at your own risk, we advise all owners to orgainze alternative arrangements before entering the venue for the show if you foresee any problems with using your filming equipment.
