Took a while, but here are the official lyrics from the Japanese lyrics booklet. No surprises there.October 25, 2015 at 8:27 am in reply to: Mumford and Sons Road To Red Rocks Special Edition #4507
When I got mine there was a small card (probably 3″x3″, or maybe a little bit smaller) in there with the download code. Perhaps check your vinyl cover again and see if the card maybe got stuck. That occasionally happens in gatefold covers. But I don’t know if the download code still works after three years.
Or buy the Gentlemen of the Road Edition for Babel… It has a Live From Red Rocks CD.
I just received the Japanese pressing of the deluxe edition. This comes with an extra English/Japanese lyrics booklet. As far as I know this is the only source (besides perhaps a songbook) for the official lyrics of the album. I will put up scans on my site and perhaps post the lyrics here if there is any interest.
It’s getting very expensive if you want to get all the different label versions. For every LP at least four different pressings (Island, COOP, V2 and Glassnote) and for every CD even more (Island, COOP, V2, Glassnote, Dew Process and various local versions + variations in digipak/jewel case + bonus track versions). I’m not actively looking for those anymore. Too many $€$€.
Everything that I have scans for up on the site is from my collection, the ones I don’t have just have photographs (like the Sigh No More + Instrumentals). There’s a few there that I don’t have, but I wrote a WANTED note at every release I don’t have. I know of perhaps two or three more that I haven’t listed yet plus the newest promos and now a few more from your collection.
Would you be able to contribute scans instead of photos? That would be amazing.
A full list of my (Mumford) collection is available here: http://www.trodland.com/petraspective/music.html
Just scroll down until you see Mumford & Sons listed.
My core collection is Petra and what I have for them is listed here: http://www.trodland.com/petraspective/collection.html
Hello mumfordbones. That is a very nice collection. No Lend Me Your Eyes 10″? I see two or perhaps three promos that I didn’t know of (one of the Believe promos and one of the Babel full album promos). Check my collection at http://www.trodland.com/petraspective/disc-mumfordandsons.html
I’m uploading the latest additions and I still have a few new promos I need to scan and add. I recently added scans of all the original 10″ vinyl releases.
I’m uploading new content as I write, so if you check the site half an hour after this post, you’ll see all new update. If you’ve visited before, please refresh (press F5) to get the new updates, otherwise it’ll load what’s saved in your cache from your last visit.
We should definitely get in touch. Find me on facebook or instagram (petraspective).
I signed up with 2 email addresses for the newsletter, one where I said I was in the Netherlands (where I really live), and one where I said I was in the UK (because I will be in England later this year for a week). On my second email they sent me the newsletter with the tour dates and at the bottom there was a link to the presale.
Kringlan, contact me either through this board (don’t know if it’s possible) or otherwise through the widget at the bottom of my website (find petraspective through google) and I can forward the presale link to you. I won’t be in England during the tour, so I won’t be using it. I’m not sure though if it’s a unique link or if it’s somehow specific to my email address.
@pttjenkins Does it like it’s a manual inscription that might’ve been added later? Is it handwritten or printed? It sounds quite weird and I have no idea why these email addresses would be written on there.
I got excellent service from the webstore. I got a shipping notification and the box arrived quite quickly. Unfortunately, they didn’t handle the package carefully during transport and the tin got dented in two places. I wrote to the webstore complaining about they and they sent me a replacement, which arrived yesterday, and which was sent out before I even returned the damaged one today. If I get return shipping refunded, as they promised, this is an excellent job! Haven’t had a chance though to listen to the new song.
Right click and view image will let you see the image full size.
@pttjenkins, that sounds like a unique item. I believe the box was mastered at Abbey Road, so perhaps you ended up with a personal copy of one of the studio staff, or perhaps a test pressing? Would you mind comparing your vinyls to the pictures on my site: http://trodland.com/petraspective/disc-mumfordandsons.html#mumfordandsons2013babelthesinglescollection
Are there any other differences? I would be very interested in seeing scans/pictures of your version. Perhaps I could show them on my site?
Something completely different: I’ve recently finished scanning all my 10″ Mumford vinyl and I will be adding good scans to the site over the next days/weeks.
Marcus Mumford is from a protestant Christian background. His parents are the founders of the Vineyard Churches in the UK. It is a charismatic evangelical denomination (protestant), and it’s part of the emerging church movement. I’m not sure if the other band members have any religious affiliations. I don’t think any of the band members actively form a part of any kind of Christian community at the moment, but I could be wrong.
Is CL associated in any way with the charismatic Emmaus movement in the Catholic church?
Thanks for promoting my site, Benj! ;-)
Does anyone have the jewel case edition for Wilder Mind?
I’ve seen some on eBay and they seem to be the regular UK 12-track version.
Why would the overwhelming majority be in cardboard foldout and just a few in a jewel case?
