Dear Mumford and Sons,
My name is Rutgher Holtrust from the Netherlands and I am 17 years old. On the 18th of May this year I got the most beautifull and sweetest girlfirend ever. Her name is Stephanie. Last week on the 9th of October she broke up with me. That was because she didnt really loved me anymore. But I do love her like crazy and I never wanted to lose her. I have been crying and not sleeping for days. I already wrote her 3 long letters and made a drawing of a rose for her.
The only thing I now can of think is how to get her back, and have an amazing time together. I do know that she is a huge fan of Mumford and Sons and she would love to see them play live. It sounds unimaginable but that is the only thing I can think of to do for her right now. But as you know also there aren’t any upcoming shows right now, and I really have to do it now. Because she really needs to know how much I love her.
Is there anything you can arrange for me? Could they come to the Netherlands to play for her. Or could the guys of Mumford and Sons record a video, special for her. Is there anything you can do for me. Only a response from Mumford ans Sons would already be awesome. I really hope you can do something for me.
Many thanks already, and I hope you can send a repsonse to me.

I am pretty sure I would have any of your children, but mostly in love with Teddy, what the fuck, are you a band anymore and why the fuck not, I randomly meet the faithful followers of your music everywhere. We call ourselves believers. Get over your issues and come back to us. We need you. . .

PLEASE grace us with CD # 3 soon! My husband and I are in withdrawal and need to hear more from you. Your music has affected me like no other group that I have ever listened to in my lifetime (and we are both over 55) and has changed my attitude toward today’s music. Every song that you have written is an absolute masterpiece! There is no doubt that Mumford and Sons were destined to bring joy and happiness to people’s lives. We need to hear more Mumford on the radio!

Hi, okay i have no idea whether or not anybody reads this, but i do have something to say.
I have gone to some sort of religious school my entire life. as i was researching Marcus Mumford for a homework project, i came across all the debacle of whether he was a christian. To be candid this made me extremely frustrated. I take the side of Marcus. Christianity and the title “christian” only goes so far. some who take that name live in a graceless, hypocritical manner and deem Christians as merciless and unpleasant. Loving the Lord has nothing to do with “Christianity”. Mumford and Sons got me through an extremely rough time in my religious school. my education is served with extreme judgement and kids who only care about looking like they are a good person rather than actually loving the Lord.
In many of their songs they talk about religion in a negative manner. Religion in it’s essence is an inappropriate way to “worship” the Lord. Christ is not a religion. He is not a set of rules that you have to follow or everyone will turn on you, He’s a person who would rather have you love Him than do all the good deeds. In their song “Holland Road”, though this is my interpretation, I believe Holland road refers to religion or the Lord. The song speaks of a heart of stone standing against a “calice mind” which in my opinion is Christ. As the song continues he says he “pays less time to Your calice mind” meaning that after spending time with the Lord you realize that He his worth more than just walking away and giving up.
Another song “Broken Crown” he talks of the broken crown that he refuses to ware. he says that “I’ll never be your chosen one”. this is for the people who become so extremely engulfed in their pride as “the elect” or “God’s elect” they forget that loving the Lord is a life of love not of hate of those you may think aren’t worthy. I could go on, but i am done with my tangent. forgive me but what is not said is sometimes demanded to be said. Thank you.
