Not such a while ago Mumford & Sons – together with friends Old Crow Medicine Show and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros – took a train across the American Southwest stopping off at various stations along the way to play some music for some might fine people and having a mgihty fine time in the process. The tour was called the Railroad Revival Tour and every inch of it was captured on camera by director Emmett Malloy and his team.
After hours, days, months of hardwork the resulting documentary Big Easy Express is now complete and not only that – we’ve recently heard word that the 75 minute film has been accepted to be premiered at this year’s SXSW Film Festival.
