We’re very proud to share the music video for our latest single Woman with you.
Shot in New York by our good friend James Marcus Haney & features the incredibly talented dancers Stephanie Crousillat and Yeman Brown who have brought the song to life beautifully.
“It’s the love between those two people and that’s why the video is clever: It reveals that throughout the song. It’s not something that smacks you in the face the first second of the video, it’s something you learn.” You can read Winston’s full interview with Dance Magazine about the inspiration behind the video here.
When we knew we were shooting our video for ‘Beloved’ in Port Talbot, we asked Welsh photographer Leia Morrison to capture those often unseen moments on set but also to document her take on the people, places & hidden beauty of the town. Here is a snapshot of her work in her own words.
Port Talbot and its surroundings are often overlooked in the UK, and so being given the opportunity to document the people and places of Port Talbot was both important & really exciting to me. The town has lived through difficult economic times, with the demise of the steel industry taking its toll on the lives of the locals yet Port Talbot holds so much hidden beauty and potential, captured exquisitely in this music video, and hopefully translated in my photographs.
When not on set capturing majestic horses cantering across a deserted Welsh beach or documenting intimate moments of the friendships, on and off camera, I was wandering the streets of Port Talbot; meeting people & getting to know their stories, whilst also capturing their characters in the portraits.
My favourites include one of two young boys on their bikes, in the estate, and a mother with her child outside a shop in the main town. In a world that has become so fast-paced and superficial, I loved taking some time to slow down and really capture the beautifully intimate and timeless moments of everyday life.
We’re continuing to fight the good fight against all forms of ticket scalping and wanted to reiterate our message: Please don’t buy tickets to our shows from secondary websites such as Stubhub, Viagogo, Craigslist, Ebay, Gumtree, Vividseats or SeatGeek. We can’t guarantee they’ll be real or that you’ll get them for the price we intend. Please do only buy tickets via the information we provide on our website.
In some parts of the world brokers and scalping are actively regulated against on a government level, in others we have to employ the best strategies we can to keep them away. Once again, for our August US and Canada tour dates, we will be offering dynamically-priced Platinum tickets through Ticketmaster.
These tickets will be limited and will be priced in such a way as to help keep the average market price of our tickets on secondary sites as low as possible. At our request Ticketmaster will be turning off TM+ for our tickets and instead we will be using a service we’ve used before called Lyte to allow fans the ability to sell their tickets to other fans.
All profits from tickets sold through Platinum that would have come to the band will instead be put into the Gentlemen of the Road Fund to be invested in charities around the world. We will be keeping you up to date on our work and how this income from our fund will be distributed on gentlemenoftheroad.com
We’re bringing Delta Tour to 7 new stops in the US & Canada this summer with Portugal The Man (excluding Denver) and Lord Huron (Aug 15 Denver show only) as our special guests. This is what it’s all about. Get ready for an absolutely epic night of music.
Thanks to your overwhelming response, it’s our absolute pleasure to announce a second show at Fiddlers Green Amphitheatre in Denver. The amazing Tennis will be joining us as our special guests (Aug 16 Denver show only).
Our video for Beloved is a collaboration with BAFTA-nominated director Charlotte Regan. The song has very different meanings for everyone… but somehow Charlotte has managed to capture the same wild spirit that we felt when creating it.
