A Little Message from Marcus…
Dear One and All,
I wanted to write to apologise to those of you who travelled to the Rome gig and were told at the door that we had to cancel. Cancelling a gig is something we don’t do easily; this is only the second gig in 3 years that we’ve cancelled. But we had to do it because I just couldn’t physically sing at all. I’ve had a dirty dose of tonsilitis that is just about healing, but has been very annoying indeed. I wanted to say to you directly that I’m sorry, especially to all of those who took a lot of effort to be there, that the decision was taken so late in the day. The reason it was such a late decision was that I wanted to leave all the time I could to try to get better for the gig, but I simply couldn’t sing.
I promise we’re determined to come back to Rome and are already looking into when we can do it. I assure you it’s a priority for us, so we’ll keep you updated!
I’d also like to thank all of you who have sent lovely ‘get well soon’ messages, I think they’re working and it means we won’t have to cancel any more shows soon! Sometimes it’s a really great thing knowing that people give a shit, and we’re all on the same side here. So cheers.
If you’re in Britain, enjoy election day and go exercise some democratic rights!! I just got back from the Ballot Box myself, and am revelling in the joys of the Secret Ballot Act of 1872.
Peace out.
Marcus
