We are aware that a number of fans have been left disappointed by recent ticketing issues surrounding the WXRT 40th Anniversary Concert the band are due to perform at on 16th August. Aside from the fact that demand for this show has far outweighed ticket supply, it has been brought to our attention that large numbers of tickets have appeared for resale via unauthorised outlets. We would like to make absolutely clear that Mumford & Sons and all members of the team, in no way support nor have any links with such extremely unwelcome activity and continue to explore appropriate solutions to this industry-wide issue.

I called the Chicago Theater and they said you will have no problem getting in as long as your tickets have a barcode.

HELP!!!! So has it been 100% confirmed that this is a Will Call concert? I bought tickets on Sunday off of Craigslist from someone in Minnesota so I won’t have the photo ID and CC of the person that bought them originally. I am just now reading that they might not be valid and that really worries me! Please reply if you have some kind of an update on what is really going on. I was so excited to go to this concert and am sad at the thought that my money has been wasted if I can’t go to the concert or get a refund. Please post or email me .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Ok just spoke to Chicago theater and they said my tickets should work but they can’t guarantee it. But if you purchased on eBay as I was forced to do and got tickets from Gold Coast out of Chicago, they helped a lot when I called. They even gave me their cell number so if by chance when I get there and I have an issue I can call. Gold Coast will be at the show and the person I spoke with is the person whose name is on tickets so it shouldn’t be an issue!! Hopefully it all works out for this show and never have to deal with this nightmare again!!! Sympathy to those who aren’t able to make it.

I’m going to call now too and will also post back here. It’s ridiculous that this info isn’t publicly available..

OK so it isnt just Stub Hub that took tickets back. I purchased tickets on ebay and now I am dealing with the same thing. I am waiting for a call back from the Chicago Theater in regards to the issue. Once I hear from them I will post back. I have the printed copy saying these are your tickets but when I got nervous after everything I called the Theater and they said, they had the printed tickets there so they basically it doesnt look like my tickets are valid….. If you bought tickets ANYWHERE besides ticketmaster yourself I would call the theater and they can look it up for you

After a lot of stress and nerves I ended up buying tickets off EBay. I think if the show were Will Call only, it would say so on Chicago Theatre’s website or on Ticketmaster. Imagine all the people who purchased tickets for others with their card or who have bought tickets secondhand. Have a hard time believing they would want to surprise and waste all of those people’s money.

I’m desperate to go to this show. I’m searching for just ONE ticket, but I’m afraid that if I get one from another fan who is unable to go, they won’t let me in because of the Will Call Only status of this event. I just got off the phone with the Chicago Theatre and they confirmed that it IS in fact a Will Call Only show, so the person who posted on August 9th about that seems also misinformed. TicketsNow is NOT a sister company of Ticketmaster. Again, I called the company and simply asked. Please fix this horrible mess in future shows, HQ. I really don’t want to wait another year to see these boys in concert.

Please fix these ticket problems by the time you come back to Chicago. Should’ve been Will call with photo ID, credit card used from the start. NO MORE ticket brokers. Remove the loopholes they saw before the initial sale. Brokers like Stubhub are greedy trash. Shouldn’t have to think they’re the best or only way to get tix. I live in Chicago & would’ve loved to see them in the beautiful Chicago Theater. Not gonna happen now.
