Do you have a room with a view? If you’re stood within eyeshot of a window, what’s your view like? I’m not gonna lie to you, ours is a bit rubbish... And that’s when we can get close enough to the window to actually snatch a glance out; there’s a pigeon that chills on the ledge beneath the pane. We don’t get on. When I say ‘chills’ I mean goes mental, and when I say ‘pigeon’ I mean enormous half bird/half hound-of-hell uber-eagle with a penchant for flesh. Oh no… It’s blates eaten Knuckles… R.I.P Knuckles. End of an era.
We need a new pet.
What we really need is a new view. A scene of unimaginable beauty. Of far afield lands and far away seas. Of four dapper gents of Indian descent dressed in full Toy Town military regalia.
We need the brand new video for The Sons’ third single The Cave, and we need it now!
I still have absolutely no idea what "Come out of the cave standing on your hands" means, asides the literal, but I have a pretty good idea that this new video is BRILLIANT! It has mopeds in it! Bloody mopeds! Everywhere! Check it out exclusively over at the Guardian!
MOPEDS.

My room with a view at this very moment looks out across to the Sydney Harbour Bridge…and I am currently driving my neighbours mad (or making them VERY happy :) by playing “The Cave” over and over….what a fantastic song, what a fantastic sound you guys have! Have only just discovered you and realised I missed your Sydney gig…will have to make it to Rome in May. Keep it up…your music is powerful and your lyrics poetic and moving…what a mix!! :)

another positive to a pet rock, you can customise it :O, it’ll never leave you, it’s portable and very common and cheap. You could get one anywhere, you chould call it T-Rock… short for… The Rock:)

Just curious if this song was influenced by Plato’s Allegory of the Cave?

Only six more days until I get to stomp my feet and clap my hands to the sound of live brilliance.
P.S. I am not coordinated…I apologize in advance.

I’ve never seen linen look so good! Ok except for the 85 year old Mexican woman I saw today on the bus that had on a linen dress with a rose collage embroidered onto the back. It reminded me of The Flying Burrito Brothers. This revelation made me happy…but then so did this video. Bravo.

Oh and please:- anyone thinking of getting a pet rock - read up on your rock care and make sure you can commit the time needed to look after your rock properly. Remember - a rock is for life, not just for christmas.

I suggest to Keep Pretty Boy Floyd safe you should keep him in a sock. A rock in a sock can be a very useful thing as well as a lovely pet ( I am assuming that PBF is a small rock and not a boulder type rock ).

LoopyTunny, are you suggesting that we neglected Knuckles? LIBELOUS! That rat bathed in the finest Hello Matey bubblebath (Sailor Edition), wore a new Sean John two-piece everyday and refused to eat anything but Port Salut cheese rolls… Granted, smothering him in bird feed just prior to the ratnapping/pigeon-eating-scandal was a poor judgement call. The Rock shall be called… Pretty Boy Floyd. M&S HQ x
