Change of pace today. Shaking things up, keeping the cakes fresh. Coming out swinging. Swinging like that time at school when that kid bare dropped some dread on you, cussed you out cold and cut you deep with some junior jive, chatting some rank about you being a bed-wetter, and you were like, ‘Momma said knock you out’, and you just started swinging them little arms like a teeny turbine, and you were like, ‘POW! Take that Charlotte Jenkins!’. But then she was all like, ‘brown belt, white tag BLAM!’ and straight round-housed you on a Chun Li tip. ‘Member that?.
So yeah, the idea was that I’d fill you in on the knowledge first, then, you know, babble in the post-knowledge paragraphs, giving you the option of wading through the waffle to reach the mysterious City of Golden Wisdom, or just sacking it off. Hasn’t worked out exactly as I’d imagined, I’ll be honest, Best laid plans and all that. Still, as per our earlier interaction, sometimes you just have to roll with the punches…

Ok so i’m going for a car ride with my daughter and she says” You’re listening to this CD whether you like it or not, it’s my car” so i saaaaays, ‘OK…..’ by the end of the second song, i’m singing the songs….she’s not a clue how i know the words….its just the way the songs go my dear, they are sometimes ballads that rhyme and when one likes this type of music its VERY easy to sing along to! I don’t mean to compare you to our fellow Canadians, Great Big Sea, very similar, but yet your own!

Thank for sharing your talents, everyday at work i put my head phones on and you guys on repeat , you take away all the stresses in my life and help me get through these rough times , you have also inspired me to once again start writing my music in which i will start recording in the next few weeks !!

– just in time to realize that you already had been in Germany and France (round the corner from here) and I could have listened to you – if only I chose to search a few days earlier. Now you’re going round the world and there’s no possibility to listen to you live anymore…I’m very sad about that (I just cannot tell you how sad, words are missing…). What comes along with this is that I cannot access the additional stuff for owners of the album here in Germany. Why does this happen? It’s just unfair, isn’t it? I’d very much like to have these bonus contents, but it’s not my choice…

This is only a little girl writing from over the Channel, Germany…so just overlook mistakes and bear in mind that I cannot write as I would like to do about you. Let me just say: All four of you and your music are sooo great (There are no words to describe…). I ‚discovered’ you a few months ago after having heard your song ‘Little Lion Man’ in a tiny club in town (Saarbrücken…you won’t know). there isn’t anything more that i would like to do than to start a book club of my own. i love to read and i am very open about whatever book lies in front of me. i enjoy the books of your interest but i would like to recommend one (if i can) that it “The Bluest Eye” by Toni Morrison. A fantastic book, might be a little different for your taste, but the author (Toni Morrison) is an African American with an imagination that brings up stories of women and men who struggle and their stories are told

I know you won’t read or see this but I would like to say I find every piece of your music amazing, actually no it’s beyond that. Words cannot describe how much I love to listen to it (which is at least twice a day). It’s inspiring and your true musicians. I was so disappointed when I heard you played at Kendal Calling festival last year and I didn’t go. You also seem like great guys to know and have as friends. Keep making your music, couldn’t go without it.

I saw you guys play in SF at Slim’s! I was quite near the front! On one occasion, Ben, I called your name & could have sworn you looked back & perhaps, Marcus, you saw me as you were on the drum set (which you are absolutely brilliant on). I also think I saw Ben as I was leaving the bathroom- I was really taken aback. I am having a terribly hard time expressing the how excellent the show was. I feel changed. You all have such raw talent. You speak & play so genuinely.
