There are no words which can effectively express what tonight will always mean to me. Since the summer before freshman year, I’ve been hooked on Mumford & Sons, but my love for this band extends far beyond just any fangirl phase. These four fine Gentlemen of the Road have given me so much, and that in itself is an understatement. With their music, I’ve found a rock of solitude in chaos, a pick-me-up in rock bottom, and even a slap in the face when I know I’ve messed up. I’d like to think that, in a way, they saved me from myself, and I have nothing but the deepest respect and admiration for these men, because what they do is good. They write beautiful songs and belt out the lyrics with such emotion and feeling that I can’t help but feel apart of it all. I left the venue sweaty, tired, thirsty, and with a sore throat, but I could care less; I stood through 4 hours of purely exuberant musical bliss with my best friend, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. From the phenomenal opening acts’ performances to the last verse of ‘The Cave’, I was enthralled. It was like one of those out-of-body/once-in-lifetime/you had to have been there kind of things. Simply spectacular. I tried taking it all in-the lights, the instruments, the fantastic crowd…such a moving experience for myself. I can go to sleep with a smile on my face, but I will miss these memories I’ve made all the more. Tonight was for living “that one dream” that I’ve always had, and it was completely worth it; I feel different, I feel reborn. So until the next time M&S stop by VA, I’ll find strength in pain, I will change my ways, and I’ll know my name as it’s called again.

Got my tickets today so excited. Was a little worried when i tried to do the 10 oclock presale through Ticketmaster and it just kept saying there were none available. I checked the site from the main concert page and was able to buy them with no problem. We are also going to the Bristol Stopover, so that will be 2 concerts in 3 days.
