Post your pictures from past M&S shows here and share some memories of the show!
I’ll get the ball rolling:
Hurricane Festival 2012, Scheeßel Germany
Marcus had broken his hand so Harry Cargill played the guitar and Chris Maas the drums. Was pre-Babel so the crowd didn’t know a lot of the songs. And the crowd sang Happy Birthday to Ted in German! (It wasn’t his birthday)April 26, 2015 at 11:57 am #3111
I think it would be really awesome to get this thread active, I’d love to see everyone else’s Mumford & Sons photos. Here’s another from me, they’re not in any particular order.
Cardiff Motorpoint Arena, Tour of Two Halves 2012
I remember Marcus was very ill, he performed the end of Dustbowl Dance with a towel over his head, completely out of energy from drumming. I have a picture of that somewhere. Sister, Reminder and With a Little Help from my Friends were on the setlist but cut last minute. Still sad about that, I’ve never seen any of those songs live. Dawes and Piff the Magic Dragon came on for Awake My Soul which was hilarious, they kept having to stop because they were laughing so much.
If people are unsure as to how to easily upload images, go to postage.org and upload a the image from your computer (set the size to the ‘for message boards’ option). Copy the direct link it gives you and then on your forum post press the ‘omg’ button at the top and paste the link in there! Literally takes less than a minute in total!April 26, 2015 at 8:42 pm #3128May 16, 2015 at 10:19 am #3363
Hamburg Sporthalle, European Babel tour Spring 2013
Arranged a trip to visit my friends in Germany as soon as this gig was announced. It was a great gig. Started very near the front until my girlfriend fainted and we had to leave the crowd and ended up near the side. Support was Half Moon Run and Mystery Jets who are both great bands. Mumford were on fine form. They had some technical trouble with an electric guitar so Thistle & Weeds and Whispers In The Dark were dropped from the setlist, first and only gig I’ve been to where they’ve not played Thistle & Weeds! They even played Sigh No More in the encore, which on the Babel tour was a massive rarity!
It’s a running joke at German Mumford gigs that the band announce that it’s Ted’s birthday today (the only sentence they know in German is “Heute ist Ted’s Geburtstag” or “Today is Ted’s birthday”). It never actually is. This gig they went one up and got him a surprise non-birthday cake!June 9, 2015 at 5:13 pm #3584

I do not have nice pics of the show but I have the drawing from my son – 5 – Maxence!
I promised him I would send it to you… and was sure you would love it!
We were at Olympia on July 7th – we were at the back on the ground floor!
Thanks for this memorable time!

“Rocking” him to sleep had a whole new meaning tonight. From belly headphones in utero to his first live show, it’s safe to say they got a fan for life. He loved the first half of the show wide eyed and boppin, I swear. Mom and dad don’t get to get out much these days with a little, it was an epic night for all!

I truly enjoyed the hospitality of the town of Salida Colorado for this amazing venue. Despite the intense heat during the day, the music and people were phenomenal! I went on my own, single and made some really great new friends. Thank you to Mumford & Sons for making it such a fun experience! I had suffered a Heart Attack in late April and wasn’t sure I was going to be able to attend the tour. I’m so glad I was!September 1, 2015 at 8:36 pm #4207
