Kate from San Diego – hello! :)
I was able to see the band live the last time they stopped into town. I’m on Fire was a high-light.
I was wondering off topic is for anything off topic from mumford and sons? We can pretty much talk about anything in there?
Have a beautiful day.

Hi, my name is Lynn and I am probably one of the oldest fans in this forum but I became a fan through my daughter. She absolutely loves Mumford and shared the first and second albums with me. It didn’t take me long to figure out why she related to the lyrics in many of the songs but “After the Storm” in particular. After several years of estrangement after my divorce from her father I finally realized that I was her storm and we were finally getting through it. This song and your music in general have been a big part of our healing. Thank you for sharing your hearts and souls with the world.November 12, 2016 at 8:54 am #7881
Hi, I am Cathie from the State of Kansas in the U.S. I first found M&S on YouTube in 2007 – White Blank Page in the bookstore. I have been to 5 concerts and 2 GOTRs with one or both of my daughters and my granddaughter.November 18, 2016 at 2:52 pm #7922
Welcome to you Cathie!December 7, 2016 at 6:50 pm #8055
I’m Lisa from Toronto Canada. I’ve been a M & S fan since 2009. I’ve seen then live 6 times and hope for many many more. I listen to their music endlessly and never tire of their beautiful music. They speak to my soul. I’ve got 3 Mumford lyrics tattoos and am planning another one at some point.December 9, 2016 at 11:14 pm #8070
Hi Lisa! Welcome! Looking forward to hearing about your Mumford gig experiences! I might have a couple of Mumford tattoos as well! I like your: I’ll find strength in pain’! AnnaDecember 10, 2016 at 12:02 am #8074
At age 50, I’m probably one of the older fans. My fav experience was at a weekend long GOTR in Simcoe County Ontario. The vibe and the energy of the crowd was amazing! The camping was a great experience for myself and my 15 year old niece. I was lucky enough to see them 2 days later at another venue. Still up in the clouds from the weekend gig! I’ve seen the band local in Toronto as well as amazing road trips in Ontario and USA.
My other tats are ‘Awake my soul’ and lyrics from Sigh no More (Love it will not betray you, dismay or enslave you, it will set you free). The lyrics from Ditmas are floating in my head, specifically
‘And so I cry as I hold you for the last time in this life,
This life I tried so hard to give to you’. I know it’s a song about love lost, but for new it holds a different meaning. I lost my youngest son to cancer at age 5. He would be 21 now. I think that’s one of the reasons I find such peace and comfort in M&S music. They speak my soul and express the words that I find hard to say at times. I’m not a religious person, but I find a deep spirituality in their music.December 10, 2016 at 12:15 am #8075December 10, 2016 at 1:02 pm #8079
Thanks for sharing your stopover story! I think how the stopovers are set up creates such a magical vibe for the fans & the area they take place in. The band clearly love every moment of them too. I particularly loved the Lewes stopover in UK a few years ago.
*High Five* for the Awake my Soul tattoo! A favourite of mine too!
Heartbreaking to read the story of your son. Music is amazing isn’t it. It can help us heal & accompany us through tough tough times. Mumford’s music certainly touches my soul too.
I hope that you pop by the forum again soon, Anna
