Love Your Ground
Mon 3 Nov, 2008
This here EP Marks the second occasion on which we were lucky enough to write, record and release a few songs to the wider world as Mumford & Sons. When we decided to start our family trade, we four brothers wanted to do it as well as we could and with as much love as we could.
The Recordings of these here songs was done down at a lovely little house in Devon with a view of the sea and a nice patio, and we were extremely kindly hosted by Mr & Mrs Lovett. Ben was producer-in-charge of the whole thing, but we would all like to take unjust and disproportionate credit, so let's just say we all produced it. Ted takes sole credit for being in charge of whisky-bottle-shaking, and now we all know his five favourite vegetables. Marcus takes credit for keeping Mrs Lovett awake whilst singing in the pantry at three in the morning. Country for busting the Reebok Classics even in a sail-boat. Meanwhile we picked up a serious sense of loving the ground we were on, whether in the city in which we lived with all its faults, or in the countryside in which we recognise or heritage. And so, to one and all, 'Love Your Ground'.
Released through Chess Club Records on limited edition 10" vinyl.
SOLD OUT

- Little Lion Man
- Feel The Tide

As long as the boys and the record company are not re-releasing this to buy, you can grab MP3s from youtube. Some folks have uploaded this and the Wedding Band album to youtube and you just go to a site like http://www.vidtomp3.com/index.php (vidtomp3 dot com, in case the URL is removed) and put in the URL of the YT vid. It's free and easy that even a luddite like me can do it. I now have all of this and lots of other goodies to put on my newly impassioned iPod. And no silly eBay either.

I completely echo what the last person posted....where can I get this album? I heard it on the pandora station and searched everywhere for it. Please release it again.

I was so excited the other day when I heard three songs that I had never heard before from the EP on my Mumford and Sons Pandora radio station. As soon as I got home, I went to go buy them, but they are unavailable. Please, please release them for everyone!

It should be re-released in the near future for fans who have not obtained it and want it (by hard copy of course, I hate Itunes).

Agreed! I really want to buy this album, but can't get it anywhere. I don't want to steal it (download it), let us buy it somehow..

I must add my request for this to be made available! The banjolin song is my favourite and I can only get it via Youtube clips at present. Add it to your next album please! x

PLEASE make your back catalogue of single/EP tracks available to those who have only recently found your wonderful music. You could be making an awful lot of genuine fans happy rather than the elite who can afford the ridiculous prices being charged in the used market. I would dearly love to hear all of your gems so please consider re-releasing the rarities. Please? You were truly awesome at Glastonbury by the way. x
